In a recent interview with The Daily Dish, Aesha Scott opened up about Season 2 of Below Deck Down Under and her close bond with Captain Jason Chambers. She described him as not only her captain but also her friend, even referring to him as her “fourth stew” on the boat. Aesha shared how supportive Jason is, always helping her with tasks like doing dishes and emptying bins. Surprisingly, she also revealed that she assists him with putting in his contact lenses in the morning, showcasing their strong support for each other.
In the Season 2 premiere, Jason called Aesha to his cabin while the crew was getting ready for the day. Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph jokingly expressed her jealousy as Aesha made her way to the captain’s cabin. When Aesha arrived, she found Jason struggling to put in his contacts and asked if she could help. Jason explained that he had been trying all morning without success. Aesha successfully assisted him in putting in the lens, and they were ready to welcome the first charter guests.
Following the premiere, Aesha and Jason appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on July 24 to discuss the season. During a game, Aesha was asked to reveal one of Jason’s “grossest” habits. She humorously mentioned his difficulty with putting in contact lenses and suggested that he work on improving this skill. Andy Cohen questioned Jason about why he lets Aesha help him with his contacts, expressing his surprise at the arrangement. Jason explained that he struggles with putting in the left contact and often drops them in the sink, which can be costly. Aesha playfully responded that she is a capable woman who can assist him.
