OWNDAYS has recently introduced their Clear Vision lenses, which are designed to provide up to eight hours of comfortable wear. These lenses are enriched with moisture-retaining hyaluronic acid, which helps to enhance water retention, minimize tear evaporation, reduce protein absorption on the ocular surface, and promote uninterrupted blinking, according to Mr. Toh, a representative from OWNDAYS.
One of the key features of Clear Vision lenses is their ability to block 80% of UVA rays and 95% of UVB rays. This is especially important in sunny climates like Singapore, where prolonged sun exposure can increase the risk of conditions such as cataracts, macular degeneration, and pterygium. Mr. Toh emphasized the importance of taking proactive measures, such as using UV-coated contact lenses, to safeguard eye health in the long run.
In addition to the Clear Vision range, OWNDAYS has also introduced Clear Vision Advance lenses. These lenses have improved oxygen permeability due to their composition, making them beneficial for corneal health. Mr. Toh explained that the silicone hydrogel lenses in the Advance line allow for enhanced oxygen delivery to the cornea compared to traditional hydrogel lenses. This not only reduces the risk of corneal swelling, ulcers, and other complications but also promotes overall corneal health.
The Advance line also features a hydrophilic hydrogel coating that helps reduce protein deposits, minimizing the potential for eye irritation. Mr. Toh highlighted that the moisture-rich environment created by this coating maintains a smooth lens surface, discouraging the adhesion of deposits. This makes Clear Vision Advance lenses a great choice for individuals with dry or sensitive eyes. Additionally, these lenses offer enhanced tensile strength, providing increased resistance to chipping and tearing.
OWNDAYS is also addressing the issue of blue light exposure with their Clear Vision lenses. Blue light, emitted by electronic devices, can have negative effects on eye health. OWNDAYS’ Clear Vision lenses are designed to help manage blue light exposure, providing added protection for the eyes.
