In a recent interview with The Daily Dish, Aesha Scott opened up about Season 2 of Below Deck Down Under and her close bond with Captain Jason Chambers. During the interview, which took place on July 6, Aesha described Jason as not only her captain but also her friend, even referring to him as her “fourth stew” on the boat. She shared how Jason supports her and goes above and beyond by doing her dishes and emptying her bins. In return, Aesha helps Jason with a rather unexpected task – putting in his contact lenses.
In the Season 2 premiere, Jason called Aesha to his cabin while the crew was getting ready for the day. Aesha hilariously made her way to the captain’s cabin, leaving the chef, Tzarina Mace-Ralph, feeling jealous. When Aesha arrived, she found Jason struggling to put in his contacts and asked if she could help. Jason explained that he had been trying all morning without success. Aesha successfully assisted him in putting in the lens, and Jason was ready for the first charter guests.
Following the premiere, Aesha and Jason appeared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on July 24. During a game, Aesha was asked to reveal one of Jason’s “grossest” habits. She jokingly mentioned that Jason doesn’t know how to put in contacts, suggesting that he could work on self-growth in that area. Andy Cohen expressed surprise at the fact that Aesha helps Jason with his contacts and questioned why he couldn’t do it himself. Jason admitted that he struggles with putting in the left contact and often drops them in the sink, which can be costly. Aesha playfully responded by saying she’s a capable woman who can assist him.
It seems that Aesha and Jason have formed a unique bond on Below Deck Down Under, with Aesha providing not only professional support but also lending a hand with Jason’s contact lenses. Tune in to Bravo on Mondays at 8/7c to catch Below Deck Down Under and watch the crew’s adventures unfold.
